Today I was put back into perspective that no matter how stress-full, how busy or how run-down I am- my family and friends mean everything to me. I can't thank them enough for the amazing support they've shown me the last few weeks throughout the absolute mayhem of the craft shows!
We're gearing up for the holidays, the anticipation is mounting, and oddly enough I feel as if I can finally take a deep breath and get ready to tackle the onslaught. I've never cooked a turkey before, so baby, this should be interesting! I am extremely excited for after we have digested the feast we cram down our throats, to pack away all the photos and decor and pull out the garland, the reindeer and the lights! Then up goes the tree. I will be in full swing of the Christmas spirit, the music blaring, the kids running around willy nilly- and then comes the ornaments. I can't wait. I've even snuck in a few new holiday themed items in the shop to help tame down the overwhelming urge to start decorating early.
Starting Thursday, I will having a Black Friday Sale in the shop. I'll be posting details on the Facebook Page later on this week. And don't forget to add your teachers, co-workers and stocking stuffers to your list, like I have a horrible tendency to do!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Holiday! Happy Thanksgiving!

This weekend at the Poff Elementary Parents’ Association Holiday Vendor and Craft Festival I had the pleasure to meet some amazing people- customers and vendors alike! It was an amazing turn out and it was so heart warming to hear everyone speaking so highly of shopping locally and with small businesses for this holiday season! On top of that, if you know me- I eat my pizza cold, drink WAY too much Coca-Cola and LOVE cupcakes! Today, I was stationed next to my weakness, and let me tell you they were the most amazing cupcakes I have ever eaten in my life! For my entire pregnancy with my son, all I wanted to eat was cupcakes. I refrained (for the most part), but it wasn't uncommon to see me drooling over them or sneaking a bite here and there! Two years later and the cravings are still there! So, here it is, the food that has captured my heart:
Saucy Cakes Homemade Cupcakes! The one pictured above is the Almond Honey. My personal favorite? Caramel Apple! For a full list of available flavors and colors visit her site: Saucy Cakes Cupcakes. Bridal Showers? Birthday Parties? Baby Showers? PERFECT! And I am off to eat another :) xo, Ashley
The past few weeks have been so exciting for me as I have had the pleasure to work on some amazing custom wedding orders! Just a sneak peek to what I've been up to:
Done in my favorite colors- the same as my own almost eight years ago- time flies!
Custom Money Bags
Wedding Favors with Personalized Tags
And of course all items (and others in the shop) can be custom personalized to coordinate with your wedding colors, additional quantities available, and I'd be happy to mail out material swatches - you can find the details here!
I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy the gorgeous fall weather!
Things have been pretty fast-paced around here, don't even know where June went- and I hope everyone had a safe and fun Fourth!
I'm taking these two short weeks before I start getting prepared for Eva's First Day of School to organize, scrapbook and get caught up on my every growing pile of hair-brained ideas. I can't believe that she's reached the age to be going to school, I'm super excited yet sad at the same time. Where did the time go?! Which turns my thoughts to having some serious scheming to do for Eva's birthday- and it is looking like it will be quite interesting at this point. I'll be breaking out the eye-protection and power tools shortly- look out! (Pics to follow... maybe :) )
New(er) in shop: Pillow Boxes! I have so much fun making these little buggers and now they are also available to order as Party Favors or just the box itself- as well as specialty gift wrap. They are just so fun!
Getting back into the groove of things from spending a couple days in Austin, it was awesome to see friends, relax (which led to an interesting sunburn), and have some really good food!
I fell in love with this scarf (my weakness is scarves) and since we didn't have time to do any 'real' shopping, it was my only indulgence on the trip- once I got back I was kind of disappointed I didn't have anything on-hand to pull out some of the amazing colors- which led me to create the newest addition in the shop!
Feeling refreshed and my hands are itching to get back at it!
Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend, enjoyed the awesome weather, and isn't slathering themselves with aloe like yours truly!
Don't miss the awesome Mother's Day event that the East Union Presbyterian Church (Cheswick) will be having this Saturday! (May 5th) Starts at 9:00 A.M till 2:00 P.M. and all items are Hand-Crafted.

February is by far one of my favorite months. Excited for all of the birthdays and events coming up! And Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we're looking at six more weeks of winter! I hope we get some more snow, because it was a blast watching Eva play in it. Finished up the challenge I set for myself, and can't wait to take the rest of the pics. I had so much fun creating them!
Hoping everyone had a wonderful Monday! Usually I struggle to get going from the weekend, but I had a great time yesterday cleaning things up with packaging, organizing and boxing things up. It was very refreshing and felt good to sit at my work table today and allow the creativity to flow without hindrance. I'm so excited over the animal inspired projects I'm working on that I am compelled to get one completed every day this week.
